Matahari Chalet: Back to Basics Matahari Chalet Review

Basic wooden chalet which is suitable for backpackers. It comes with a bed, a small cupboard, a dressing table, a wall fan and the mosquito net.

All the rooms include an attached bathroom which is clean and well-maintained except for the RM45 per night room.

The RM45 per night rooms only have a common bathroom which is also clean and well maintained.

I was very satisfied with the room despite the basic amenities since I spent most of my time on the beach anyway.

The rates are pretty resonable between RM45 - RM85 per night which includes a RM10 dinner voucher!!

Please take note that the electricity is only available from 6pm til 7am everyday.

Note : Please be warned that it operates on a walk-in basis. You can't make reservations.

Unique Qualities: For a basic chalet, the place is well-maintained and pretty clean. The surrounding is well-kept and decorated with tropical plants.

Nice and cozy restaurant with a vast selection of delicious local cuisine!! Definitely the best place to eat at long beach!!

Panorama Chalet: Among the Trees

Another chalet that's recommended at Long Beach. Just like Matahari, it's a basic wooden chalet with attached bathroom.

Each room comes with a queen size bed, mosquito net, a small cupboard, a dressing table and a wall fan.

Despite the basic amenities, the rooms are clean and well-kept.

Rate is at RM70 per night which includes dinner at the Panorama Restaurant.

Electricity is available from 7 pm to 7 am.

Note : This chalet also operates on a walk-in basis. You can't make reservations.

Unique Qualities: The chalets are built among the trees that grows by the beach which gives a nice, cool and shady feel to it.

The restaurant is one of the best at Long Beach with a nice cozy and tropical settings.
