"Andalusia - an exotic cultural blend" Sevilla by JessH

What struck me the most about Seville has to be the architecture.
Living in Dubai, we have seen our share of twirly-Arabic-over the top architecture, but in Seville the mix between European chic and Moorish grandness really works beautifully. The history of the city can be read off its walls, towers and streets.
We didn't see much of the town as we only stayed for 3 days and it rained most of the time, but I can imagine just walking around the city is enough sight-seeing in itself!
Relaxing on the HUGE bed at the famous Hacienda Benazuza.
- Pros:Beautiful surroundings
- Cons:Not many people speak English, so a few words of Spanish may help!
- In a nutshell:One of the many hidden treasures of ancient Europe

lucky you, I want to visit Sevilla one day but I guess I will stay somewhere cheaper :)
Thanks for your nice comments on my China pages. We will be in Sevilla this summer. Suerte, John
Wow, how lucky you were! Winning a free trip is awsome
A more-ish Moorish hacienda? Why, it's worth it for the alliteration alone!!
¡hola, jess!thks a lot for visiting my morroco page, mainly hotels tips!!!sharing same taste for nice, confortable and typical hotels:hacienda benazuza is a famous one...but dubai hotels are pure jewels as well.....!!!!!!
I love the orange trees too!!! They've got tons of them there. XXXXX
Wow, some hotel ! I am turning very green with envy - on our first visit we stayed in a fairly ordinary large hotel near the centre - full of coach parties.
I agree with you about corrida. Ciao!
Winter is the best time to visit, you were unlucky to get rain, its not that common. Summer temps are unbearable 53ºC when I went the first time in August. Its only 3 hours from the house now, so we go often, I love Sevilla.
I Love Spain and I agree 100% with your bullfighting comment. All your tips/pictures are truly amazing!Complients from a fellow Veggie...
