This huge ski resort was very comfortable accommodation (we stayed in autumn with very little crowd, it could get quite busy in winter due to the sheer size of the place). The main thing i found was that the rooms were incredible hot. This is probably due to keeping to Korean tradition of Ondol heating in which hot air comes from an oven through pipes under the floor to keep it warm. This is why Korean people slept on thin mattresses on the floor- and the Resort provides one double bed per room and the rest are mattresses on the floor.
The surronds are lovely- countryside and hills. There is a large golf coarse, walks and the skifields to explore. A shuttle runs to the resort from Wonju.
We were often woken early by construction workers- the resort is preparing for the world snowboarding championships in 2008.
Unique Qualities: The hotel has a gym, sauna pool with waterslide (for children only), an arcade games room, internet, a bar (with Cass beer- so so good- on tap), a bakery and supermarket, a ballroom, KFC, a cafeteria and dunkin donut shop.
As accommodation was provided for me i am not sure of costing.
