15 years ago, the Mirage was THE place to stay in Las Vegas. It was one of the first really different hotels that signaled the change in Las Vegas (this is in my opinion, as I am sure someone else will say another hotel was the first). Nevertheless...

Its location on the strip is great!

Most of the big name hotels in Las Vegas all give the same sort of service- the rooms are nice and clean, but unless you are staying in a really, really high end place... don't expect the service to be outstanding. Don't get me wrong... service will be good, but nothing special.

Unique Qualities: The Mirage is like a tropical rainforest inside, and this is a nice way to be greeted as you come in from the heat (assuming you are there during the 6 really hot months of the year. You can spend quite a lot of time wandering around the hotel and casion. Check out the tigers.

Paris... is like all the other "theme" hotels. Decent service, clean rooms, always night within the casino... can't quite say that it feels like the real Paris at night...

Unique Qualities: Same as the rest... pretty good location on the strip.

The Venetian bills itself as an all suites hotel. I guess you can say that this is the case. The rooms do have more in them than a traditional hotel room, but they are not really traditional suites. The "sitting room" is technically in the same room, it is just down a few steps. There is no true privacy/walls between the bed and living areas. However, it is still nicer than a lot of the other theme hotels.

Unique Qualities: The casino is quite nice, but most of the tables have high limits... don't think you are going to find $2 tables. The pool area is also very nice.
