This Is Where I Grew Up

by blue_eyez80 - last update: Jun 18, 2005

I was born & raised in Vancouver , BC, Canada. I lived in Canada for 21 years before I got my green card and moved to america where I have been for the last 3 years.
There is a lot I miss about Canada (even though I visit my family there all the time). Canada, especially BC, is awesome for outdoor life. Camping is the best, so many places to go, so many lakes to fish in, or swim, sea doo, anything you want. Skiing and snowboarding is awesome in the winter with three local mountains and Whistler mountain only two hours away. The three local monutains are "seymour", "cypress" and "grouse". They all offer great skiing conditions and resonable prices.
The weather in BC is not all that great. It rains a lot, but summers are pretty nice and the weather is quite warm.
Vancouver has one of the best night lifes I have ever encountered. There is a lot of Clubs, bars, pubs and many, many places to go dancing, or wining and dining. There is always a place to go, and always something happening and thats one of the main things I miss most about my hometown :(
If you are ever wanting to visit Canada or Birtish Columbia, then let me know and I will give you soo much advice on where to go, what to see, and how to get around

Hoping to get to Vancouver in 2007. We did Toronto and Montreal last year and loved it but I was suprised how flat the landscape is. Vancouver looks more scenic with the mountains.
