The Town This little town is a very interesting place indeed. Rustic is a good word to start with although there is so much construction going on that a year from now it will not look the same. Shops are abundant with the better portion of them being hut like structures with metal roofs. Same goes for the restaurants. Good food is available yet most of the restaurants are small and dusty. Prices are reasonable for food, beverage and trinkets. Overall, I was pleased. I flew into the Liberia airport and took an hour and a half bus ride to the Diria resort where I stayed. The roads were really bad. Two routes were available, the long way or the short way. I recommend the long way because there is more blacktop although it wasn't without potholes. On the return trip to the airport the driver took the short way and it was intensly rugged. |

globetrottette Thu Jul 13, 2006 20:03 UTC I'll be going back in November and debating where to stay. Coincidentally, I stayed at the Diria last time and loved the area. If you have other suggestions... Pura Vida. |
