Restaurant Name: Celadon
This restaurant is voted one of the best in Thailand. The service was attentive as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. It's beautifully decorated and is a quiet and relaxing place for lunch, espcially with sun lights coming through the french windows. We had the banana flower salad with peanut sauce (fab but the portion was small), seafood curry with morning glory (also good) and a very spicy Southern vegetable curry (not recommendable). To finish, we had yummy mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream. It's a bit pricier than other Thai restaurants but it is spacious and quiet. Could be an ideal place for business lunch.
Favorite Dish: Banana salad. Thai Lemongrass Tea. Mango Sticky Rice.

Restaurant Name: Seafood Market and Restaurant
I knew it would be expensive but not THAT much!! It cost more than 1500B per person for: 4 fresh oysters, grilled snapper, fried morning glory, 2 grilled tiger prawns and yellow curry crab, which would probably cost 1000B in total for all if we had it in a seafood restaurant like Somboom and probably more delicious and fresh since all the seafood in this Seafood Market are freezed on ice and basically all dead. You won't be able to find fresh fishes straight from the tank there. This place is definitely overrated even though it was fun experience for 15 minutes to do the shopping. I wouldn't go again.
Favorite Dish: I like the fresh oysters, it's sumptuous and exotic dipping in lime chili sauce with a bit of Thai herb. Both grilled snapper and the tiger prawns were blend. The yellow curry crab sauce was nice.

Je Ngor: Great Seafood Restaurant

Restaurant Name: Je Ngor
The menu is limited and mainly serves seafood only but they don't really need to offer much more than the exquisite Thai/Chinese style of cooking. We have fried shredded morning glory, fried scallops in XO sauce (7-8 big scallops), fried noodles and steamed Thai sea bass which is a must try. It's B350 but it's huge. We definitely ordered too much and we felt guilty having forced the food down. Apparently Je Ngor is very famous in Bangkok and is also voted one of the best by The National newspaper. I will definitely go back again and would like to try the chilli crab.
Favorite Dish: Steamed Thai Sea Bass. Really fresh and soft with lots of fresh spring onion on top and not spicy.

Restaurant Name: Somboon Seafood Restaurant
It was full of Japanese tourists when we went there. Luckily we arrived early so without making a booking, we only waited for 10 minutes to get a table. The restaurant has 3 storey and is run by Chinese. It's famous for the yellow curry crab but we had a steamed one which was fresh and delicious! Also we had some grilled sea snails, fried morning glory and lobster shrimp. The lobster shrimp came last and I was shocked by the size of it! It's bigger than my hand and is a must try! I couldn't believe it when I saw the bill and it was only B120! I will definitely go back next I am in Bangkok.

Restaurant Name: Hay
Low rise strip mall located in Thong Lor. H1 Urban Complex is super modern with restaurants, an art book store, a concept store and a furniture shop. I like the alfresco tables and the ambience there. Hay makes home-made ice-cream and also has another branch in Siam Paragon.
Favorite Dish: The ice-cream of course and their coffee is good too.

Restaurant Name: Tamarind Cafe
Tamarind is also a gallery and has regular exhibits of local artists. It's tranquil and offer healthy vegan/vegetarian food. I had a refreshing freshly squeezed carrot, beetroot (I loved beetroot), ginger and something else juice together with some vietnamese rolls (don't recommend it) and the avocado and rocky salad, the dressing was amazing, it's made of passion fruit and something else which I don't remember. It's a nice place to relax on your own. It's rather pricey though.

Ruen Mallika: Royal Thai Food

Restaurant Name: Ruen Mallika
This restaurant is sooo difficult to find. I thought it would be quite easy to walk there from the BTS cos' it has a clear soi no. but I was wrong, it took us more than half an hour to walk there and it's tucked away in the residential area. To be honest, I wish I went somewhere else instead. Yes the Thai old wooden house is very special but the food is just mediocre. Personally, my favourite is Mango Tree in Silom but then some people may think it's too touristy.
Favorite Dish: The 'tempura' morning glory with seafood salad is yummy. The minced pork cabbage soup wasn't that good. I like the way they serve rice in a clay pot.

Restaurant Name: Vanilla Cafe in Siam Paragon
Apart from the food court in the basement, there are lots of beautiful restaurants in Siam Paragon. One of them is Vanilla Cafe which serves exquisite tea from France and mouth-watering desserts. We had cakes but the flavoured pancake with ice-cream looked very edible ;-) It's a great place to chill out after a day's shopping. The mains are equally delicious and well presented. I would also recommend a trip to the Mandarin Oriental shop opposite, they have fantastic home made pates and delicatessen! For a beautiful coffee shop like Vanilla in a hot spot, it's really good value for money.
Favorite Dish: Tea. Cakes. Sandwiches. Salad.

Restaurant Name: Near Section 24
As the market is so big, I don't think you will be able to find this little restaurant again but you can certainly find similar food elsewhere, so I just want to say that 'don't miss the deep-fried chicken if you see them' it's super yum and they deep fry them in a big wok with hot oil and serve immediately.
