We stayed at the Le Meridien after a weeks Nile cruise the hotel was excellent the rooms are very big the bathroom is large fresh linen and towels every day, we over looked the patio area which got the shade in a afternoon the balcony was a bit small but fitted two chairs and small table to watch what went on down below in the Italian and Lebanese restaurants and listen to the music that is played at night by keyboard player and a duo singing
Breakfast are very good with a lot of choice as much as you can eat unlimited tea and coffee ,large inside dining room smoking or no smoking or out on the terrace in the lovely early morning sun

Unique Qualities: the pool was nice and clean two pool attendants that looked after the beds if non available they went and brought more out only hotel towels on the beds ,snacks and drinks by waiter services from the pool bar £3.50 for a steak baguette with chips and salad, drinks £1.80 a bottle of lager £1.00 for a pot of tea/coffee,80p for a ice cream
all staff were friendly and polite and very helpful

watch the sun set on the west bank excellant veiws of the nile just sit and watch the river life
kingfishers diving in the Nile as you sunbathe by the pool

the cruise on the diamond was excellent the cabins are spacious for a river boat they were cleaned every day with fresh linen and towels
the cabin staff are very friendly and work hard
the food was a bit hit and miss but there was always something to eat and did not spoil our holiday, drinks cost around £25 ep/pounds £2.50 sterling for a bottle of lager no cash is used on board you sign a receipt which you keep a copy and settle the bill at the end of your cruise ( some people were caught out at how much their bar bill was ) but a total up at the end off the day your self keeps account of what you spend I was 10 pounds out but I forgot to pick up a couple of my bills
early morning starts up around 5.00am(early wake up calls get you up) for a few of the trips due to the heat , 3.00am if going to Abu simbil by coach this is a extra trip cost £65.00 each but worth it ,you are back on board around 1.00pm for dinner on most of the trips . the guides give good information but need you to ask questions to help them to know what to tell you (don't expect to take in what is said as so much info is given to you ) as you walk around the sites
all the trips were very good impressive sites
the entertainment was good we had a magician ,whirling dervish ,Nubian dance band and fancy dress party were every body dressed in Egyptian costumes and played party games
two free beach towels are placed in your cabin with a free bum bag on arrival from Cruise Egypt
go off the boat to the bars on the bankside beer here 80p a bottle, water 20p in luxor
one down side cruise egypt recommend £30/40 english pounds as tips for the crew and the same again for the guides most people thought this was a bit steep so put in what you think

Unique Qualities: GOOD POOL, JACUZZI ,PLENTY OF SUNBEDS ,TOWELS PROVIDED,POOL BAR ,SHADED AREA TO GET OUT OF THE SUN ,
EXCELLANT VEIWS AS YOU SAIL DOWN THE NILE
