A Great Blend of History and Nightlife

San Antonio is famous for two things, in my opinion, the Alamo and the Riverwalk. There is much more to see and I would like to return. In the winter...

I spent a few hours at the Alamo and 3 nights on the Riverwalk. Days were spent in a conference at the Regency Hyatt - which was OK because as an Alaskan I have a hard time when the temp gets above 80F.

There is a mission trail where you can walk from mission to mission that I'd like to try.

The Riverwalk

The riverwalk flows through the center of San Antonio and consists of several miles of restaurants and night clubs. I love just walking along at night and checking it out. There are boats you can catch a ride on. Best to do it late afternoon unless you have plenty of sunscreen.

Nice tips, some of the pics reminded me of Amsterdam - a world away, but very similar with the waterways through the town. Marion.
