My first trip to Greeley was for a cross country meet while going to college in Colorado Springs. With a very high ratio of women to men (2:1), the smell of cow dung was a small price to pay. Me and a buddy would make the 2 hour drive north often over the next year.

The University of Northern Colorado was famous for it agricultural school and the main reason the ratio was so skewed. It was a long time ago, but I do remember the tree lined streets and the mountains off in the distance. It always seemed warmer than C Springs even tho it was at a higher altitude.

    That is a great shot of one high-jumping horse and 'rider'!! Ah yes, the good old days of youth - I think I still remember them. Maybe the rodeos are all synched, since the Calgary Stampede is not long after this one?

    Rick, that is really neat! I am trying to recall hearing about the Greeley Stampede, but somehow I can't! But yes, it was VERY rural there..... ;-)
