Hotel Buffets: All You Can Eat

A buffet, for the uninitiated, allows you to pay a fixed price to be allowed to eat all you want for a meal. The food is displayed along a long counter. You pay your money, are directed to a seat and then help yourself to the food. Non-alcoholic drinks are provided by a server on request, although it is expected that you will tip your server. Some hotels provide different selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices (if not the selection) is often increased during the weekend.

Unfortunately, paying more doesn’t necessarily mean better quality or improved selection. None-the-less, price is one criteria with which to compare buffets. It also provides some insight into the type of customer each hotel is trying to attract.
