Middelburg is in the middle of the province of Zeeland halfway between Vlissingen and Walcheren on the Schelde-Rijn-Kanaal (canal). Having been around for a 1000 years, visiting Middelburg is a bit like stepping back in time. Things move a little slower here and you might glimpse a bit of native dress. On the train line to Vlissingen, if you’re going to visit one of these cities, you should plan on visiting both.
