The Hague, Den Haag, ‘s Gravenhage. The green city. The city of peace and justice. The Netherlands third largest city and the provincial capital of the province of Zuid Holland (South Holland). The Netherlands’ seat of government, but not its capital (that honor belongs to Amsterdam). A government town with a variety of excellent restaurants catering to the various embassies. Your won’t find hoards of (English speaking) tourists here, although in the summer there are plenty of German speaking tourists at the beach (Scheveningen).
