Watch out for gypsy children near the metro stations and also the train stations. I never had problems, but my friend was attacked by a group of them while using her cell phone and she is even Ukrainian. A lot of my Ukrainian friends told me to be careful in crowds and on public transportation because many times pickpockets will use razor blades to just cut through your leather bag or backpack and lift things out without your knowledge.

Glad you saw so many fine opera performances in Kiew (for so little money!). Do you ever go to Opera Colorado in Denver? More expensive than Kiew, I'm afraid. (Do you have any more photos for this page?) |
