Shakespeare's Town

by HispanicYob - last update: Sep 27, 2006

The birthplace of Shakespeare

All signs lead to somewhere here
Ah, good old Stratford-upon-Avon. What a beautiful town this was. I love the old world time atmosphere of the place. Located in Warwickshire, this was the birthplace of one of England's (and also the world's) best known writer, William Shakespeare. It's also famous for it's Tudor-stye architecture. A true English town through and through. If you're ever in this part of England, definitely see Stratford-upon-Avon.

Pubs and more pubs

Lots of towns in England seem to have tons of pubs. There's one on every street corner it seems. It's insane! If you look at this picture, you can see one in the left side. We didn't eat there. I just love the atmosphere of this town.
A small taste of Tudor architecture

If not for the natural beauty.....

Seems like every town I visited here in Warwickshire was surrounded by beautiful countryside. And Stratford-upon-Avon is no exception. The beauty inside the town is truly something to admire, from the tidy streets to the highlight, the Tudor-style housing. You feel a part of Shakespeare's time when you visit this place. I loved being here and getting to experience all of the history of this place.
