Cataluyan Charms

Vale! Ven y disfrute!

Barcelona has monuments all around
Welcome to Barcelona, located in the region of Cataluyna in Spain. Barcelona is a place that thrives with activity, even on a Sunday. This city has it's own distinct charm and flair, and is ideally located by the sea. The city is home to lots of good shopping and tons of places to eat. There's a lot of good places to people watch and quite a lot of parks to just sit back and relax under the shade. The summer months see the city at it's hottest (naturally, it is summer after all). Make sure you rub that sun screen on!
Spanish Tapas
One big thing in Barcelona is to try tapas. Tapas are like a type of appetizer. A small meal served in courses. Each is different and unique.

So much to do

You could spend a week in Barcelona and do quite a bit. Although there's nooks and crannys that are worth exploring as well. Barcelona offers plenty of stuff for off-the-beaten-path travelers and thrill seekers. The type of Spanish used in this part of Spain is Cataluian, so if some words sound very bizarre, this is why (I'm talking for all the Spanish speaking travelers here). This is one thing in Barcelona I found frustrating. A lot of locals are willing to give you directions, but naturally like anywhere in the world, there's rude people as well. Spanish people are a proud and noisy people, and quite a few of them don't have patience if you don't speak Spanish properly or mix up your words. It comes off as very rude especially when you're making an effort. But that is the cultural divide at it's worst. (a lot of Americans frown upon those who aren't fluent in English so....)

Well it is with a y because it is written in catalan like Poble, in spanish it would be pueblo. Catalan is the co-official language in Catalunya region, that's why many things are wrote in this language.
