"Croyde Bay, Devon" Croyde by sunshinejo

OK, so I just got back from a really lovely camping trip to Croyde, where I had such a great time. I'd never been there before and had no idea there was such a nice place so close to where I live. I'm so excited by my little discovery I just had to write about it!

The thing I like about Croyde is that it's livelier and more fun than some of the smaller and quieter beach/surf towns along the north coast of Devon and Cornwall, but it's also more chilled out and relaxed than Newquay. It's kind of a good half way between the two! The area itself is absolutely beautiful, and the town is really pretty and quite quaint - lots of little cottages with thatched roofs, which I love! I'll definitly be heading back there sometime soon to explore the area further!

• Pros:beautiful, relaxed, good surf!
• Cons:was a bit crowded when I was there, and it's a slow journey to get there
