This is an incredibly beautiful (and very expensive) hotel. It's about 5 minutes drive to the old town of Nice. The sea view from most rooms in the hotel and the beautiful gardens of the hotel is so beautiful. The food is really good. The restaurant has sea view. The swimmingpool is beautiful and there also is a children's pool (but I haven't seen children there except our own). The staff is friendly and professional. There is all the confort you need in the rooms. The small rooms are not that small. They have a small private beach aswell, on the rocks, so no sand. I would recommend this hotel for those who are in search of confort and calm. http://www.palais-maeterlinck.co m/

We stayed here for 3 days, I found the staff (all of the staff!) very unfriendly and unhelpful. The room was modern and confortable. There was wifi in the room and pay tv. The food we got from room service not bad but not good. The breakfast was nothing special. And they ruined our shirts in the laundery. All together very unpleasant stay here, mostly because of the attitude of the staff. The location is very good, right at the start of the old town and a second away from the promenade des anglais. We didn't go to their private beach so no comment about that.
