The small-big city...

Palma is a beautiful and clean city with lot of art on the streets and nice arhcitecture. It has everything that a city needs but it is quite small and you can pretty much walk anywhere. It´s both good and a bad thing. There is not THAT much to do but also it´s very safe place, after living here almost 6 months i´ve had no problems. I guess the best things about Palma is the sun which is almost always shining and the beautiful landscape. Palma is very international city and there is a lot of different nationalities living here. Sometimes you get the feeling you´re not even in Spain with all the foreigners livin here, but of course it depends where you go. At first I was really causes about going to any even slightly touristic places but now I´ve learned to find good things about those places too.

Living there and visiting as a tourist

The first month when I arrived here I was really excited about the place- I just thought -wow it´s such a great place- but of course like in everything in life after a while you get used to it and it´s just no that exciting anymore. But yes definately I would recommend the place to anyone.

The summer is propably not the best time to visit because then it is very hot and loaded with tourists but april-may or september-october are maybe the best times to visit. Then it´s not too crowded and not too hot. If you come to visit you should consider renting a car because it´s the best way to explore the beatiful island and it´s so easy to make day trips all around.

And what there is to do?

Many times I´ve heard complaints from people living here that there is nothing else to do than go out. Well it´s not entirely true but I have to admit that I´ve been doing that quite a lot. I think going out here is good, there is a lot different kind of places to go and I´m sure there is something for everybody. Also you can find beaches quite close to the city. And especially during the summer there is a lot of things to do and lots of outside concerts and cinemas etc.
