My first day on the South Island I headed to Blenheim, famous for its incredible wines. Naturally, I signed up for a wine tour.

I wasn't in Blenheim long enough to be able to explore the town more. Literally the minute I checked into my hotel the van had arrived for my wine tour. I highly recommend taking a wine tour through this region as the wine was wonderful and the scenery was stunning.

This was the first winery we went to on our tour and it was definitely one of my favorites. The person working behind the counter was helpful and friendly.

The wine at Cloudy Bay was quite good but as I'm on a student budget, it was a bit out of my price range. This is a picture taken from inside the winery (I'm 95% certain this is Cloudy Bay but it's been a year so I'm not sure). I have seen Cloudy Bay in the States since my trip and I would certainly buy a bottle. It's quite nice.
