Tell you what, if you're looking for a brilliant 2 / 4WD (depending on the season) road trip to experience the South Oz dessert region the Oodnadatta track is the way to go. I started out from Pt Lincon with a friend and it took us about 3 days to complete. It was a great little trek which offers a lot of different australiana scenery including the old Gahn railway line and the Dalhousie hot springs.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Great scenery.
- Cons:The track may be closed during the wet season.
- In a nutshell:Great 3-4 day drive through South Australian wilderness.
