Spa at the Moon Palace - Cancún
Spa at the Moon Palace

Fondest memory: One of my most unforgetful memories about Cancun was my 2 hours spent at the spa in the Moon Palace. With our all inclusive package David and I got a back massage, and a free pedicure. The back massage was priceless. Edith, the massuse, was fabulous. She started off by gentling rubbing my back and massaging tense points around my shoulders and upper back. Then she used her forearm to massage harder and deeper into my lower back which felt so good. She massaged my arms, my hands, my legs, and my feet (which by far was the best part of the massage). The foot massage was like 10 minutes in heaven because I had never had someone rub my feet like that and it feel so good, yet not tickle. After the massage I was so loose I felt almost like a bowl of jello. Every part of my body felt so relaxed and so at ease. Next I got my free pedicure, which if you haven't gotten one I recommend (yes even guys, trust me on this one) The pedicure was amazing. I enjoyed every second of having my feet soaking in a warming bath, and rubbed with moisturising lotions and oils. In the end she asked me if I wanted any polish on my toes and I looked at her and laughed. I thought she was joking but she was being serious. I came back with a quick no thank you and told her that I was fine. I think she thought I was being rude, so I quickly explained to her that everything was great, and that I just didn't want any polish. She seemed to understand and then off I went. This is a must do, both activities, if you get the oppurtunity. One last neat thing, is that you can request on of the back massages on the actual beach, and they will do it out there

Sun lobby bar at the Moon Palace - Cancún
Sun lobby bar at the Moon Palace

Favorite thing: I didn't want to put this tip under restaurants, so I thought it was appropriate to place it here. The main bar in the lobby at the moon palace is really nice. It was a fun place to go after supper, before we headed into the city because David and I would grab a quick drink, and enjoy an occasional cigar. I must add that the cigars in Cancun or just phenomenol. I don't usually smoke cigars often, but I really enjoyed the taste and the richness of their cigars. The main bar is also nice because they have a live band play there during the evening hours. A jazz band plays some classic jazz music, and mixes it up with alittle latin music every now and then. The main bar is also a neat place to meet people. David and I ran into Tyne and Shaylee here, and we met some really nice people from Nebraska here. They were brother and sister. April and Shaun were both really nice, and David and I enjoyed sharing a round of drinks with them.

Swim up bar - Cancún
Swim up bar

Fondest memory: The one most defining point to Cancun pools are their swim up bars. I had never seen a swim up bar before, and I will never forget the experience. It is a luxury I wish all resorts offered because it is so much nicer than having to get out of the pool and go get drinks. David and I just enjoyed sitting at the bar in the water and talking to some of the servers, or even the people who swam up for a drink. We met 2 girls from Illonois at the swim up bar and even ended up playing water volleyball with them and a few other people. Swim up bars is the way to go in my book. I loved them!

Jacuzzi in the room - Cancún
Jacuzzi in the room

Fondest memory: Probably my most fondest memory besides the people I met in Cancun, and the places I went was the jacuzzi which was in the main room. I loved that jacuzzi. One night we had a few friends come over and actually tried the jacuzzi out and it was quite relaxing. This is also a really good think for newly weds, or couples just coming down for a relaxing vacation. Definetly make it a point to try the jacuzzi tubs at least one night. They are so relaxing!

Mini bar in room - Cancún
Mini bar in room Booze Review

Favorite thing: One of the neatest things about the Moon palace rooms was the fact that they provided you with you very own mini bar in the actual room, and they filled it daily. David and I rarely used our drinks, but when we all got together in his parents room with the dining room and all we used the mini bar for a few shots of scotch which went well with our supper. I just thought I would add this, because it really adds alittle bit more to the already outstanding rooms offered at the Moon Palace, and I thought it was neat.

Swing bars Booze Review

Favorite thing: One of my most fondest memories of Cancun was the swing bars. They were really neat because you actually go up and sit and a swing and are waited on for drinks. It is also a really neat place to meet people. People at the bars are always willing to chat with ya. I met a girl named Jitka from the Czech Republic there. She was telling me about her husband and her getting married and how people from their country and other parts of Europe like to come and get married in Cancun. We had a quite interesting conversation while her husband was in the restroom. This is a good place to come and relax, meet new people, and enjoy a good drink. It is also a fondest memory of mine. Sorry this is a generic photo because I did not get one while on the resort.

The best waiter! - Cancún
The best waiter!

Fondest memory: One of my fondest memories about Cancun has to be the service that they provide to you. The service is world class by far, because they really do wait on you hand and foot. We had one waiter named Miguel who was just hilarious. When we first met him we asked him if he was Ricky Martin and he started laughing. He even tried to sing one of the songs which he failed miserably at. I loved Miguel as our waiter because he always made sure our drinks were full, and everything was cleared when we were finished with it. At one point I dropped a fork, and before it was done spinning he had picked it up and brought me a new one. He was that good. He was also a drink waiter at Club Andromeda. He recognized me and David and made sure we had all the drinks we could ever want. He was just an all around awesome guy, and I was glad to meet him.

Shaylee and Tyne - Cancún
Shaylee and Tyne

Fondest memory: My friend David and I met Tyne and Shaylee at Club Andromeda which was the club on our resort. They were from Oklahoma, and were 2 of the nicest people at our resort. We hung out with them 3 nights and enjoyed alot of good dancing and drinking. As you can see by the photo I provided we had our fair share of drinks. It was really awesome to meet 2 really nice girls in Cancun with no strings attached considering David and I had girlfriends and Tyne and Shaylee had boyfriends. I guess you could call them our party friends. We also met them and went putt-putting on the resort, and hung out by the pool together.
