Eye Spy London Eye

Isn't she lovely?

London Eye at Night
My husband was out one night with his camera and took this great shot of the London Eye. I just love it.

Mmmm - back in the greatest city in the world after a short holiday to the most beautiful city in the world!
...the men and women merely players...

All the world's a stage...

Some 500 years ago, by the light of a guttering flame, a young playwright with ink stained fingers scratched out the words: all the world's a stage, and the men and women merely players, they have their exits and their entrances...

Whenever I think of London, it is always these lines immortalised by William Shakespeare that come to mind.

Throughout history, men and women have come and gone through London - on tubes, planes, trains, boats, curricles, wagons, carriages, horseback and on foot - invariably to seek fame and fortune.

My story is much like any other you will hear on the streets of London - especially if you are anywhere near Earls Court, Putney, Wimbledon or Southfields (where the South African's, Australian's and New Zealander's tend to congregate): I came here to see the world and earn the pound...

Six years later, I'm still pulling in the British pound, taking in the sights the world has to offer and still in search of fame and fortune!

I hope - within these pages - to chronicle some of my experiences of this place I call home...May you find them useful when planning your trip to the greatest city in the world!
