The people in Monmarte are the most agressive, actually grabbing you and trying to pull you into the sex shops/ shows etc. The "bling bling" vendors at the eiffel tower and versailles form sort of a picket you have to pass through, just ignore them and walk on. Finally there are the Indian women who ask if you speak english. If you answer yes they give you a paper to read citing all the reasons they need your cash. Just say je ne le parle pas and they'll go away. Don't engage these folks in conversation, allow them to distract you or get behind you as we witnessed several people who did get pickpocketed whilst their attention was diverted. Just keep moving and you'll be ok.
