Ride the Flume Trail ! It has an awesome view of Lake Tahoe !! You can rent bikes at the trailhead (Spooner) for about $45 - I think you can rent helmets too ! Then you can ride one way, then take the shuttle back to where you parked your car. Checkout the website for more information (below)

Drive around the lake and stop at any of the lovely small lakeside towns. There are water sports available too. At Kings Beach, you can rent kayaks or jetskii, or just lie down and relax in the sand (when it's warm enough :D ).

Mountains: Go for a hike

There are so many hiking trails around Lake Tahoe - all of them with breathtaking views. There are short hikes that are even suitable for children, and there are day-long-hikes which would take you all the way to the magnificent peaks of the Tahoe Sierras. My favorite short/easy hike is the hike to the upper eagle falls (maybe around 30 min one way). The trailhead is across the highway from Inspiration Vista Point (Emerald Bay vista point on Highway 89). My favorite day-long hike is Mt Tallac, and next is Ralston Peak (along Highway 50).
