| Just one of Victorian Lined Streets of Cape May |
Cape May is a beautiful Victorian Shore Town Cape May is a lovely Victorian town with nice wide clean beaches. I enjoy coming here to either sit on the beach or stroll either the mall area with it's shops, or the side streets lined with Victorian homes. You can take a horse drawn carriage ride where the driver will fill in the details both historical and current. A short drive out to Cape May Point might have me searching for Cape May Diamonds, or deciding whether or not to climb the stairs of the Lighthouse. A nice end to the day here is to sit out on the far most jetty to watch the sun set. |
| Some of the cleanest beaches |
Cape May is a place for a short hop escape that does not require extensive planning. Some of my most pleasant escapes here have been those of the spur of the moment type. It's enjoyable both as an overnight getaway in any season to one of it's many B&B's or for week long camping with the kids. Dining opportunities abound and include many family friendly restaurants as well as restaurants for that quiet romantic dinner for two. Breakfast with the kids might be at Uncle Bills Pancake House, while on a more adult getaway I head for the Mad Batter. Dinners might include The Lobster House or 410 Bank Street depending on mood. |
