Before I left the UK in 2005 I lived with Ali, her 3 cats and trampoline in Wimbledon.

Although I never went to the tennis it's a great place to live, really quick easy to get into central london on the tube.

A nice place to go for a drink is Wimbledon Village. Nice swanky bars for the evening and cosy pubs for a Sunday afternoon.

Windsor Castle

Staines

I lived here for 3 years from 2001- 2004.

The best way to describe Staines is that it is near Windsor (or Heathrow Airport), which everyone heard of. It was made famous by Ali G who lives there with his girlfriend Julie and his West side posse. Although the reality is a rather quiet middle class suburban town.

I only ended up there because of a job but stayed for 3 years so it's no that bad.

The best things about Staines are the walks by the Thames and the train links to London, 40 mins to Waterloo.

If you ever find yourself here go for a drink in The Bells at the end of Church St. It has a lovely relaxed old pub atmosphere and gorgeous little beer garden.
