After boring all my friends by saying "I wanna go travellin and work in Australia'" for the last 4 years I eventually got round to it. Well I didn't want to be one of those people who only say it and never end up doing it. Also it's better late then never eh??!!

I started in Thailand in January this year and travelled SE Asia for a couple of months before getting to Oz. I have a working holiday visa so plan to work a bit, travel a bit etc.

I haven't been your typical backpacker, to coin a phrase I have been a bit of a champagne backpacker!! That is; I haven't been trying to find the cheapest possible places to stay and have been on an organised 2 week trip, but have loved the experience all the same.

I don't think you will find my pages any good if you are trying to research a destination but if you want a funny story and a good tip or 2 then take a look. However I do believe that the best thing you can do is get out there and follow your nose, then give me some tips.

I know everyone says that it is the best they ever did but it is sooooooooooo true!! If you have a calling to travel do not ignore it!! Go and enjoy it! your life will be changed forever (another cliche sorry)
