| Downtown, across from the Presidency. |
| | I was standing inside of the church at Plovidv, the one next to the University of Arts. A young woman in her late 20's came in behind me and crossed herself 3 times before going to the Saints and the alter. I watched her cross herself repeatedly, light a candle and say a prayer. Although I have never met the girl and never saw her face, she was beautiful. It was a very intimate moment I thought. To see someone that devoted in their faith, so pure. After watching her briefly, I turned and let her continue her prayers uninterrupted. I never did see what she looked like..... |
| Honor Guard at the Presidency. |
| | While I was in Sofia I met up with Yana and had coffee. She was quite charming and engaging. I found some of her thoughts on life fascinating.... The point of my story you ask? Take a chance on meeting someone new everyday. Don't be shy. Always be the first person in a room full of strangers to say "hello" and introduce yourself first-you will put them off guard. Don't be afraid to go new places or try new things. Don't fear the language barrier, like I do. Oh, and visit Bulgaria. The people are wonderful. Thanks Yana! |
| Mountains near Rila Monastery. |
| | I just couldn't help but wonder how much these hills look like the ones that I used to climb in Panama, South America. These are the way to the St. Rila Monastery. |
