Getting TO/AROUND: The hungarian main airport , the biggest one of the 5 airports in Hungary called Ferihegy (Ferihegyi Nemzetkozi Repuloter in hungarian).

The airport is very close to the city , located only 20 kilometres east-southeast the center of town.

Getting TO/AROUND: The metro in Budapest is very easy to use with 3 different colors lines.

This metro is the second oldest metro in the world.
The main station is on Deak Ferenc Ter , where all the 3 lines pass , so you can switch here from line to line.

It is a cheap option to travel - while one single ticket cost me 270 Forint (1 Euro).
Don't forget to buy a ticket because the inspectors are checking all the time for people without tickets.

Getting TO/AROUND: If you are short in time and want to see the major sites you can find a city tour bus and enjoy 1-2 hours of driving around the city.
There are a lot of people offering you the tour bus near Deak Ferenc ter.

Getting TO/AROUND: There is an option to get ride the tram , that have more than 30 lines around the city.
The trams have yellow color and you must buy and ticket before going to the tram.

btw - there are two tram lines , 4 and 6 , that are very busy and considered two of the busiest tram lines in Europe.

Although slower than the metro , there is a great option to see the city.
On my tourist trap i wrote about a great alternative to see the city and this is Tram number 2 (you can see it on the picture) which offer you a great sightseeing tour in 200 forint instead of 3000 forint - you will see gellert hill , the parliament , the danube , chain bridge , market hall and many more.

Getting TO/AROUND: Although bus is not the best option to travel around the city (because it can stuck in traffic jams) sometimes it is a good option when there is no tram or metro to your destination.

Bus with red number is fast bus and if you will see E it is even faster bus between two stations without stops.

Getting TO/AROUND: A beautiful way to see the city is by boat - day and night.
You will see the famous buildings and bridges from the Danube.

There are a lot of boats that will take you to a few hours cruise - some only in Budapest and some even to the Danube bend.

Getting TO/AROUND: One of the nicest ways to climb from the chain bridge to the castle hill is the funicular - callaed Budavari Siklo.

It has 2 cars , one is going up and one is going down.
The ride is nice because of the view.
