  • Rialto bridge is something you can't miss if you are on the Grand Canal - this is a huge bridge and an important monument in Venice.
The bridge was built between 1588 and 1591 and the architect was a man called Antonio da Ponte.

  • This bridge - the Accademia bridge is one of the three bridges over the Grand Canal.

He was built as a temporary bridge but because he was popular he stayed on his place until now.

  • This famous bridge is located between the prison and the Doge's palace and they say he got its name because of the sighs of the prisoners that walked to the prison or to their death.

In real life he looks very small with a lot of tourists taking pictures but still , it is a very beautiful bridge.

  • The campanile is the big tower on San Marco square.
You can see the city from 300 feet but it is a very crowded place and if you want to climb up you should wait in a big line most of the time.

  • Because Venice is built on islands there are many canals between the streets and islands.

Some of the canals are very narrow and you can only walk and some of them are wide so you can use a boat.

I suggest that you will walk on the narrow streets , enjoy the quiet and romantic place.

  • The Doges Palace , Palazzo Ducale , is a beautiful Gothic-style building , a palace as a matter of fact , near the San Marco basilica.
Built on the 9th century , the house used to be the house of Venice's Doges and now open to the public.

The outside is decorated with pink and white marble that during the evening the sun makes this front amazing.

  • Gondolas - those romantic boats that you sit with your loved one and a man rows the gondola while singing italian love song.

The problem is that they are vey expensive and sometimes you feel like they are just trying to take your money.

it is a nice thing to see though.

Excellent page on Venice. I agree it's best to look for restaurants in the quiet areas though it can still be difficult to find cheap ones.
