  • Timna park to my opinion is not Off the beaten but Must see activity.
A lot of people come to Eilat to relax and enjoy the sea and the beaches and they forget that there is also beautiful nature here.

Park timna is a beautiful nature park with lovely rocks and stones , a copper mine and beautiful landscapes.

  • Petra is an archeological site located Outside Israel , In jordan and you can enjoy a day around the area.

If you don't know nothing about petra i will say that this place was the capital of the Nabataeans (you can find also nabataeans places in Israel - Shivta , Ovdat , Mamshit and of the Perfume road.

The word Petra is from the greek work Petrus which means rock.

A trip to petra should cost something like 150 USD for a person.
Try to ask on the hotels or search for a traveling agency.

  • The dead sea is an attraction In israel and in the world , becuase of the salty water that makes you float on your back and also because it is the lowest place on earth.
This is not too close to Eilat (2-3 hours drive) but you will enjoy beautiful landscapes and relaxing place.

You can check my Dead Sea (En Gedi) page for more details

  • Masada is a symbol for us the jews for courage.

Massada is a fortress that is very close to the dead sea (you can combine both of them) and from Massada you can see the amazing view of the dead sea and the surrounding mountains.

Massada is UNESCO World Heritage Site and entrance to the place will cost you 70 nis for and adult and 35 for a child.

You can check my Massada page for more details
