Zichron Ya'akov - Small Provance

by ophiro - last update: May 29, 2005

Zichron Ya'akov
I went for a one day trip to Zichron Ya'akov.
Very nice place , not too crowded and with a lot of History.

Zichron Ya'akov (in a free translation it is Jacob's Memory) was founded on 1882 by a new immigrants from romania.

This is a small place with the biggest winery in Israel (Carmel Mizrahi).

The Main street called Ha'Meyasdim and it is full with small wineries , the Aharonson house , the old cemetery , synagogues and you can visit the Carmel Mizrahi Winery for a nice tour.

People call it here Small Provance.
