North Myrtle Beach Travel Guide: 42 reviews and 149 photos
This is the northern most city in 'The Grand Strand', a series of little cities along the beach from Pawley's island to North Myrtle Beach near the North Carolina coast.
Just like the others, it has a huge miles long beach along the ocean. NOt much of a downtown, just a series of strip malls. You go here for the beach, not the shopping...most of the shopping is in Myrtle Beach.
Vanna White of 'Wheel of Fortune' fame has a big huge house on Ocean Blvd with some fantastic gardening and flowers and shrubbery on her lot.
- Pros:Warm weather, nice beach with a lot of public access
- Cons:Need a car

Wonderful photos of North Myrtle Beach! Seagulls look like as if they are sitting on a castle in the sand. Didn't know about the boat-hostel in Berlin. Well, no way for my stomac and me anyway.
