I've lived in Ningbo since April 2004. Ningbo is a nice city, for China. Lots of trees, and the city isn't too large and isn't too small. There aren't too many tourist attractions. Good shopping, though foreigners sometimes have a problem finding large sizes. Ningbo is a working city, so most locals are in bed by 10pm. That doesn't mean there's no nightlife, but there's not the thriving scene that cities like Shanghai have.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Cheap, good food
- Cons:Closes early, not much culture
- In a nutshell:It's only four hours from Shanghai!
