Kilmore Quay Travel Guide: 8 reviews and 20 photos

At first our main reason for staying here was the closeness to the ferryport at Rosslare, only 19 kms, and the fact that our hostess had promised us an early breakfast so no problems with missing the ferry. Walking up and down the main street I was amazed by the number of thatched cottages here. I suppose that there is a certain emulation and friendly jealousy between the local folk, but the general appearance and cleanliness shows the pride they have in their village. Most of thes houses go back between 2 and 300 years. Although there wasn't much open in early October we had a nice stroll around the fishing harbour in the evening sun.
