"Roscrea, Co Tipperary." Roscrea by pfsmalo

Roscrea Travel Guide: 21 reviews and 43 photos

Roscrea is a centrally situated small town in Tipperary, not too far from the motorway Limerick - Dublin. Colourful houses, cobbled streets and quiet, all typically Irish. And, of course its 13th c castle and other medieval buildings. Just in front of the castle is a board where you can pick up a leaflet for the "Heritage walk". Most of the walk is within a few hundred metres from the castle and mainly flat.

I think VT might be incorrect. We have Tamborine Mountain here spelt "Tambourine" on VT and apparently it is not an easy fix.

Yes I asked Barbara at VT, because with one "n" I couldn't find it. Then when I did a wordsearch I then found it with 2 "n"s. And she told me it was very difficult to change the name if somebody already had a tip with that name.On Google, when you tap with one or two "n"s it finds the same place and on Wiki it says it can be spelled with either. So I didn't bother pushing it.
