Western Sahara is probably the most empty place I have ever been. One can drive for miles without seeing a soul except in Laayoune and Dakhla. Whilst along the coast in the northern parts you get sporadic views of the sea and of a few fishermen here and there, otherwise.....nothing !!!! The major things here, and your lifeline are fuel and water. This is really the desert and pit stops are few and far between. Always top up with fuel when you can and always have a few bottles of water on hand.
