WELCOME to my pages..

I`ll tell you quite shortly of myself ...who`ll have all the time to read novels :)) , and I think pictures tell you more than words. No poems included (even I like them), you`ll find them from other pages ;)

If you want to have information of places etc., please don`t hesitate to contact me . Or come just to say Hi. Well, I`m quite social person...like Twins usually are :))

I live in Mikkeli. It`s a small town about 220 km from Helsinki, capital, to North-East. Mikkeli is located by Lake Saimaa, the biggest lake-area in Finland.
I live with my 13-years old daughter.....And a dog called Topi.
Travelling is my passion nr 1, after my family of course. I love reading, painting, walking in the nature...and if I have too much energy, I`ll go to the gym (and I have a lot of it ...)

Harbour, Mikkeli

Mikkeli from the Lake. At summer it´s nice to take a cruise from the harbour, and look beautiful scenes from the lake. You can eat lunch there, or take your own.
On winter you can skate on ice, there´s a long ring (about 1-3 kilometers) for skating. Skiing is also easy there.

This is also a view from Mikkeli harbour. Here´s a lot of lakes in East-Finland, and also small ponds.

Kukouri-fortress in Kotka, Finland

Kukouri fortress, Finland

A lot of rebuilding with this fortress, from 17th century...There´s many fortresses around Kotka, a finnish town beside the sea.
These fortresses were built to protect Finland from enemies coming from the sea; a war between Finland and Sweden in 17th century.

Concerthouse Mikael,Mikkeli

This is a concerthouse in Mikkeli: a place for ballet-festivals, concerts...A beautiful architecture by a pond. When travelling, I`m also interested of beautiful buildings.

Summerday

Ruins of Kukouri fortress, Kotka, Finland

I just loved to visit Kukouri, a tiny fortress in front of Kotka. This scenery looks like Mediterranian :) A hot summerday, sea and sun, all was perfect.

Nature is wonderfull

You don´t have to travel far to see nice things...just look around. I found this when jogging with my dog, almost stepped to it. Icy flower :)

I wish you a pleasant stay in Finland...in winter- or summertime, whenever :)
And of course enjoyable moments when travelling around the World!!!
