The town hall was built after the city Reconquest by the King Ferdinand III in 1485, from the Moorish occupation. It's placed in a "new" square at the former Arab district and where were located the City Council, the Prison, the St. James Chapel, Chief Magistrate House, the Public Granary and the Corn Excange. It was called Orange Trees Square. The current town hall was built in the place were the Prison was. Some indoor parts of this building come from the original Prison.

This museum is placed at the Palace or Hospital of Bazan. It seems to have been built in the 16th century over 3 Arab homes making the rooms asymmetrical. Renaissance, Gothic and Mudejar elements have been combined in the construction of the same. In ancient times it was the home of Mr. Alonso de Bazan, Perpetual Regent of the city. Reformed and conditioned with great taste, it is presently used as the Museum for Contemporary Spanish Engravings, considered to be one of the best in the world by critics. The collection of engravings and graphics works includes a widespread revision of the best contemporary Spanish art, with etchings, lithographs, xylographies and other ways of art expression by well international-known artists, as Dali, Picasso, Tapies and Miro.

The initial dating of this church goes back to 1505, but it began to be built in 1618 and it was finished eight years later, although the current building was constructed at the beginning of the 18th century. The main gate is of stone and has a Rococo style. The church bell tower was the highest point in town during a lot of time. The structure is a basilic type with three naves in Baroque style. It's interor had to be restored after the Spanish Civil War, because the armed militias burned the church. Inside there is a big organ, considered to be one of the most important to have been built in Spain in the past 125 years. The main altarpiece is devoted to Saint Bernabe, the Marbella patron saint. There is a statue of him at the square next to the church too, and it's the one I show you on my picture.

This is a small and pretty park which is placed in the very town centre. There is a big parking next to it where you can park your park to visit the old town. There are lots of exotics plants, tile benches and marble surface, bringing a fresh atmosphere to the place. There is a big fountain at the park centre devoted to the Virgin of "El Rocio". All the fountain is covered with tiles of the differents brotherhoods of "El Rocio". If you don't know what I'm speaking about I could explain to you it briefly: There is a small city in the province of Huelva, called El Rocio, where the Virgin is worshiped, being one of the main Catholic pilgrimage place. That's what this fountain is about: to show all the Rocio's brotherhoods.

You find one of the most beautiful places in town in this avenue between the Alameda Park and the Promenade. It used to be an abandoned park and it became a promenade and a resting area with underground parking, some years ago. It's studded with a complete collection of sculptures by Salvador Dali, bought by the Marbella Town Hall. It has shiny marble floors, fountains and nice plants. There are some cafes "theme" cafes in this area. I usually park my car above this avenue when I come to Marbella.
