LANKA PRINCESS: One of Sri Lanka`s best !!

I`ve stayed at the Princess already 5 times and recommend it as one of the best hotels of the island !
As a fan of SL, I know Colombo,Mt Lavinia,Negombo, Bentota, Kandy and Nurelya hotels very well; whereas you get mostly, what you may expect according to the clategory booked, it is definitely more in the Lanka Princess !
The Princess is very well maintained and - above all - managed by a Swiss-German management; the local staff reflects the excellent training, missing many of the mostly accepted, but not always appreciated "Asian special behaviors".
Excellent kitchen offered by experienced chefs, Lankan as well as international; especially appreciated the "two cultures buffet", daily at lunch and dinner, where you can savor local specialities as well as your home-favorites.
Two restaurants, one for Ayurveda - guests, the second for the not-so-strict clientele (as far as I`m concerned, I favor my Ayurvedic treatments, but also my favorite home dishes, if I like)
Many special treatments, seminars and courses, like Tai Chi, Meditation, etc complete the range of possible activities.
Do not miss a short excursion to the small island opposite the Princess, crowned with a small Buddhist monastery (and eager, nice monks, who will love to give you a tour of the temples).
Worthwile a walk on the Bentota-island; you will find boats offering the brief ride to the other side of Bentota river, where the island begins. Do NOT pay more tha 100 rupees oneway.
A tour on Bentota River is a must, but beware of the "Spice Gardens", a rip off for unexperienced tourists (you get the same spices in the Bentota supermarket for 1 tenth of the "Spice Gardens" price.

Unique Qualities: At Lanka Princess everything is outstanding - service, pool, people and food !Superb rooms with all amenities; nice guests, not yet overcrowded by eastern Europe guests like the near Taj hotel !
