The City That Never Sleeps New York was the first stop on my 'round America' trek in the summer of 2005. At first I found NYC to be very familiar and wondered what all the hype was about. I was in awe nonetheless and saw quite a lot on my first day in the city, including the stunning views from the Empire State building and the bright lights of Time Square.
Luckily I got to spend another couple of days in NY at the end of my trip and this was definately the turning point for me. I explored on my own and found myself falling in love with the place, managing to see Lady Liberty, Wall Street, Broadway and Ground Zero among others.
End result: NY was awesome. I was so glad that I got chance to go back and explore some more on my own, maybe it was the lack of jet lag the second time around but I really loved the city! |
