The most common comment I get from friends returning from a trip to my home city is, "It wasn't anything like what I thought!"
Just like anyone madly in love with their own city, I am terribly biased when it comes to HK. But I suppose if you've been here before and experienced the dazzling bustle AND the relaxing side (we don't actually rush around 24/7!) of this charming city, you'll know where I'm coming from.
Spend a night with your beloved in Tsim Sha Tsui and just take in view across Victoria Harbour; take a stroll around Stanley and have dim sum by the bay; throw yourself into the street markets and high end boutiques and do what the locals love too-- shopping! Do all that and then some-- I dare say you'll leave saying just what my friends have said! |
