The best time of the year to visit... | Inside the town's music hall |
is *not* January. Or the winter months, in general.
Across the North Sea from Copenhagen, Esbjerg is a charming little town of 48, 000 people in Jutland. It's not too surprising that it's not all action-packed, but it's great if you love that small town vibe, and particularly if you want to avoid the touristy regions and get a feel of the actual Danish culture.
The people are wonderful-- warm, helpful, and (to the tourist's relief) speak perfect English. You'd almost think you're back home... except the Danish pastries look too good/look nothing like those back home. |
