"Enchanted, Enchanting Boayan" Boayan Island by ionaks
Boayan Island Travel Guide: 0 reviews and 9 photos
It's not the easiest place to get to, nor to stay at, but certainly one of the most magical. For the most part undiscovered by tourists, Boayan island in the town of San Vicente some 5 hours north of Puerto Princesa City, is a mysterious and beautiful place that probably wills itself to stay secret...
It is actually with some hesitation that I am sharing this information. In a sense, Boayan is one of those places that I would like to keep to myself, but I know this is unfair. So I'm sharing with you some images, and if you really want to experience Boayan for yourself, please do email so I can give you the information you need.
Be warned that the trip will not be convenient, as you will be travelling to a relatively remote part of Palawan. Also, once you get to the island, there is only one tourist-oriented accommodation where you can stay. The cottages there are quite comfortable though, with a functional kitchen and clean bathrooms. There is no electricity, nor are there extra amenities. Prior arrangements will be necessary, and will not be very easy to arrange. Remember that a vacation at Boayan is really about being one with nature in its naked glory...
