The pedestrian zone in the München city center is a very good place to go shopping for a couple of hours. World class shops -- in wonderful old buildings -- are almost door-to-door and there is plenty of choice of good bars with sunny terraces. It is the perfect place for people watching. It is unbelievable that everything you see was destroyed in the second world war. Credits to the Germans, who have restored their Bavarian capital beautifully!
