"Heeswijk Castle" Kasteel Heeswijk by Veghel

Kasteel Heeswijk Travel Guide: 4 reviews and 12 photos

The castle of Heeswijk is a very well preserved monument. It dates back to about 1080, but the oldest part still remaining was constructed in the 14th century. The oldest part is clearly visible on the left of picture: the brick have a somewhat lighter colour.
After the last owner of Heeswijk Castle died in 1994, the castle has been completely renovated and transformed into a museum. The extensive basement is being used as a place for exclusive parties, primarily weddings. One of the castle's monumental rooms is an official wedding location.
Unfortunately, it is not allowed to take pictures inside the castle. My tips are therefore just illustrated with pictures from the outside.
