That is what I am curious about when surfing through all these helpful tips and watching the lovely pictures of destinations I've never heard of! If you, Dear Visitor, are curious who wrote the pages you're now looking at, than this is the place to be! Below is a bit of information about myself.

My name is Jasper Ponte. I'm 34 years old. As a Dutchman, I'm not surprisingly living in The Netherlands. In the city of Veghel more precisely; which is in the South close to Eindhoven (25 km), the German border (35 km) and the Belgian border (40 km).
I'm married to Ashra and we have one child: our son Dieter, born 7 October 2007. I work as a project manager for an engineering company. I'm graduated and have a Master of Science in both civil engineering and physical geography.

My favourite holiday is a winter holiday. I really like skiing, preferrably two of three weeks per winter. Of course, I also enjoy summer holidays (but just a bit less!). Although I've seen quite a few countries all over the world, my favourite destinations are relatively closeby: Switzerland and Italy.

On 8 January 2006, Ashra and I returned from an expedition cruise to Antarctica. It was really incredible! For both of us the most beautiful destination and trip ever! We also spent two weeks in Argentina and Chile. If you have some time, take a look at my tips and pictures.
On 12 March 2006, Ashra and I returned from a marvellous week of skiing in Lebanon. If you are intrested in skiing, I recommed visiting that part of my site as it is a big surprise!
On 22 May 2006, we returned from a few days skiing in Hintertux, Austria. The memory card of my camera produced errors, but the photography shop in Veghel managed to save the data; so I'm still able to show you the pictures!
On 6 August 2006, we returned from a two-week holiday in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and Tanzania.
Our most recent holidays were two great weeks of skiing in Andermatt (Switzerland, Christmas 2006) and Grindelwald (Switzerland) in March 2007.
