One of the oldest churches in the Philippines

40 km west of Iloilo City lies the Miagao Church built in the late 1700s/early 1800s, declared a world heritage by UNESCO.

This church has been through a lot since it was built in the late 1700s. It was built as a fortress against Muslim raiders. It has been damaged by war, fire and an earthquake. It was rebuilt and now restored to its majestic glory.

Definitely not to miss!
