Depicted as the true Souss Valley should, Taroudant in Morocco lies on the journey between Agadir and Taliouine. Being one of the most fertile regions in the south, with a river that runs all year long, leaders and sultans have used it throughout history as a base and as a strategic town. Unlike most cities, such as Fez, Meknes, and Marrakesh, Taroudant does not have a real ville nouvelle. Almost all the city is contained within the wall. This wall was built in the 16th century and is 7.5 Kilometers long. Taroudant is a great spot to begin your travels in the Souss Valley of Morocco before heading down to Agadir. And, when it comes to prices, Taroudant is very reasonable and even rather cheap compared to other touristy places such Agadir and Marrakech. |

Tannery : " Dar Dbagh" The tannery is the place where you will get to see how all leather goods are being made. Leather shoes, bags, coats, belts etc are made in this place. At the first stage, sheep clothing plus goat and camel leather are being washed, painted and proccessed in tubes in the center of the tannery. The smell can be annoying so if it bothers you go straight into the shop to explore what they got. Even fur coats, large snake skin and fox fur are in there! | | |
